Major (Retired) Richard Perrett MBE, Watchmaker
From 1983-2002 Richard served in the British Army as an Engineer, fixing and maintaining main battle tanks. He served in Bosnia, Australia, Denmark, Cyprus, Norway and Germany. Richard was awarded an MBE on 31st December 1999.
In 2013 Richard began to teach himself watchmaking. 2017 saw the birth of his now popular Youtube Channel RichardPerrett Watchmaker, where viewers can see Richard restoring damaged and corroded Rolex watches.
In 2020 Richard armed with a wealth of watchmaking & engineering knowledge, he founded Major Watches. The first watch collection created under the Major brand was our SEA WOLF.
With a lot of respect for the way Rolex make their watches Richard wanted to create a more affordable homage piece that retained many of the characteristics of a Rolex sports watch, was driven by a high quality, robust Swiss automatic movement and yet was attainable for servicemen and everyday working men and women for whom a Rolex was maybe too much of a financial commitment.
Jennifer, Junior Watchmaker
Jennifer joined Major Watches in 2022 and began assisting Richard as Apprentice Watchmaker. After two years at the watch bench, Jennifer is hands on with the creation of all our Sea Wolf Watches. Jennifer is known in the workshop for her attention for detail and not letting any spec of dust get past her! She also plays a key role in all aspects of marketing at Major Watches.
Helen, Administrator
Helen has been with Major Watches from the very beginning and plays perhaps the most vital role within the business – keeping both Richard & Jennifer in check! Helen oversees all aspects of administration & communications as well as aiding with all our Marketing strategies
